Founder and Executive President
Radio and music has always been in Ashley's DNA which is why he followed his dream, and created Global. The fact that he's still in his (very!) early thirties and has already created the largest commercial radio company in Europe, should give you an idea just how driven he is. At just 15 Ashley was sneaking out of school to get work experience at Capital Radio. After a year working for free, he was offered a job in the group music team, making him the youngest person ever to sit on the Capital playlist. After experiencing the world of radio, he created Global Talent in 1998, travelling the world looking after huge global artists such as the Beckhams and managing artists from the X Factor's early seasons. In 2000 Ashley created Global Publishing, which is one of the top 3 independent publishers today in the UK. And in 2007 Ashley acquired Chrysalis Radio, forming Global Radio, then through his subsequent acquisition in 2008 of GCap, returned to the very place where he'd started his journey, Capital, but this time as the owner.
Since then the company has gone from strength to strength and, if anything, Ashley's passion for radio and music has got even bigger, which is hard to believe!
CEO, Global
Stephen joined the Global family in Dec 2008, shortly after the GCap acquisition. To say he's big in the media world would be an understatement. Having been in the media industry since he was 19, he is hugely experienced, having been Commercial Director of the Independent, MD of The Mail on Sunday, created the Mail Online website and bought and sold a number of media companies. He is one of the most highly rated commercial operators in the business with an enviable black book of contacts and an interesting selection of shirts!

Parky is simply a legend! From Pirate DJ on a leaky boat broadcasting Radio Scotland to the Headmaster on Fame Academy through to a radio industry award for being the most influential person in radio, Richard has always been at the top of the radio and music industry. He has been the architect of some of the biggest and most successful commercial radio stations in the UK which is why it's quicker to list those famous DJs whose careers Richard hasn't been instrumental in than those he has.
Chairman, Global
Charles, our Chairman, is the person who keeps the three above in check. To say that Charles has a formidable reputation within business is an understatement, which is why we're very fortunate to have him as our Chairman. He is one of the most highly sought after non-executive directors in the UK. In addition to his role as Chairman of Global Radio, he's also a Chief Advisor to Goldman Sachs and sits on the boards of Virgin Media, Two Sisters Food Group, Endemol and the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games. He was previously Chief Executive of ITV, the Chief Advisor to the Home Office, Chairman of EMI and a non-executive Director of Tesco, which as credentials go, is pretty much the full house.
Most recently,whilst taking part in the Secret Millionaire programme Charles took to the streets of Leeds to find out more about the work being done by the homeless charities and in the New Years Honours List he was awarded a Knighthood in recognition for his services to the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
